As the leading centre for research, education and patient care for heart rhythm disorders, Liryc is committed to supporting future researchers and doctors. As part of this mission, Liryc is backed by the \u201cLife and Health Sciences\u201d Doctoral School of the University of Bordeaux, which attracts talent from all over the world every year and supports around ten master\u2019s students, as well as thirty doctoral or post-doctoral students, to enable them to perfect their skills in the best possible environment.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


As such, young researchers can gain work experience in an environment of research training, innovation and patient care by carrying out an original research project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The curriculum is provided by an educational team, including clinicians, researchers, international experts, as well as environmental partners for enhanced cooperation with professional circles and socio-economic stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The University Research School<\/h2>\n\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n\n

As part of the \u201cUniversity Research Schools\u201d of the University of Bordeaux, Liryc runs the \u201cCardiac Electrophysiology Graduate Programme\u201d. This programme is carried out within the framework of a \u201cmaster\u2019s to doctorate\u201d continuum, entirely dedicated to cardiology, is centred around an international master\u2019s 2 \u201cCardiac EP \u2013 Electromechanical Heart Diseases\u201d and doctoral training for student-researchers in cardiac electrophysiology . This training offer, open internationally, offers high-level learning, thanks to a multidisciplinary curriculum backed by research and entirely dedicated to the current challenges of cardiac electrophysiology.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n\n \n\n \n\n

Master\u2019s 2 Cardiac EP \u201cElectromechanical Heart Diseases\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n\n

Programme strengths<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entirely dedicated to cardiology, this master\u2019s offers a research training programme developed by doctors and researchers from the Liryc institute, in collaboration with the world\u2019s leading experts in the field of cardiac electrophysiology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


It aims to train high-level researchers in the field of electrophysiology and cardiac bioengineering. It offers a multidisciplinary approach (physiology, cell biology, electrophysiology, imaging, signal processing, modelling, therapeutics, medical devices, economic intelligence, etc.) to all themes through an innovative educational programme based on problem-based learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Focus on doctoral training and summer schools<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n\n

The Institute for Heart Rhythm Disorders offers an ideal stimulating environment for the training and career development of young researchers, doctoral and post-doctoral students.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every year, Liryc supports around thirty doctoral or post-doctoral students in their careers through the \u201cLife and Health Sciences\u201d Doctoral School of the University of Bordeaux.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


Liryc offers an international summer schools programme, run by the University of Bordeaux, as part of the university\u2019s school for young researchers. The third edition of the Liryc summer schools will take place in June 2023, including two programmes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n\n \n\n \n\n

Summer School \u201cCardiac Electrophysiology\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In collaboration with the University of Bordeaux, this training programme welcomes national and international researchers, medical students and engineers wishing to improve their knowledge through intensive courses and demonstrations. It is a unique opportunity for participants to meet world-renowned experts and learn about cutting-edge techniques in the field of cardiac electrophysiology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The programme offers intensive theoretical and practical sessions concerning all aspects of cardiac electrophysiology, from the molecular level to preclinical investigations and patient care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Summer school \u201cPercutaneous Interventions in Congenital Heart Diseases\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


Audience:<\/strong> International students in science and medicine, engineers and experienced researchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duration of the training:<\/strong> Three days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


This programme is open to international students in science and medicine, engineers and more experienced researchers wishing to deepen their knowledge through intensive courses combining theoretical and practical sessions. This summer school revolves around practical courses on the technological aspects of percutaneous interventions in cardiopaediatrics and in the context of structural heart disease in general, ranging from innovative concepts to clinical practice, including all aspects of the development of medical devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


It is a unique opportunity for participants to meet world-renowned experts in the field of percutaneous interventions, cardiac imaging and biomaterials, as well as to discover and use state-of-the-art technologies and equipment. The ambition of this summer school is to bring together in one place those who design, manufacture, use and evaluate the devices of tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
