The institute is based on a multidisciplinary approach,<\/strong> combining the fields of cardiac physiology, high-resolution mapping, cardiac imaging, signal processing and cardiac modelling, drawing on complementary international expertise<\/strong> within the same institute.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n\n \n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n\n

Prof. Pierre Ja\u00efs has been General Director of Liryc since February 1, 2021. He is supported in his duties by Prof. Michel Ha\u00efssaguerre, Honorary President, Dr. M\u00e9l\u00e8ze Hocini, Deputy General Director, and the General Secretary, S\u00e9verine Fran\u00e7ois, as well as permanent members of the leadership team.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n\n \n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n\n

Clinical and basic research teams<\/h2>\n\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n\n

The structure of Liryc\u2019s research teams is organized into four major research centres<\/strong> to further promote synergy and encourage the implementation of translational projects, in interaction between the different teams and specialties:<\/p>\n\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n\n

  • The modelling team<\/li>
  • The pathophysiology team<\/li>
  • The health technology team<\/li>
  • The clinical team <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n


    Since the launch of the Liryc project, the orientation of basic research has been defined by the questions raised by daily clinical activity, with the very practical aim of answering them.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n\n

    Clinical teams<\/h2>\n\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n\n

    The clinical teams involved in Liryc\u2019s projects are attached to the cardio-thoracic centre of the Haut-L\u00e9v\u00eaque Cardiological Hospital of Bordeaux University Hospital Centre. The expertise of the division\u2019s medical and paramedical teams is exercised within a perfectly integrated organization that ensures all stages of patient care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


    These clinical teams work closely with the basic research teams of the institute to promote translational research that starts from the problems directly observed in patients, fast-tracking the showcasing of scientific discoveries in practical and rapid application for the benefit of patients.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n\n

    Administrative team<\/h2>\n\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n\n

    Liryc\u2019s administrative team is responsible for the day-to-day management of the institute. Its organization is based on close collaboration with the Executive Committee so as to implement the objectives defined with the Management Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


    This team acts in targeted areas of expertise: administration, finance, scholarships and projects, partnership and development, promotion, quality, communication and IT.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/smartfire-component>\n\n\n
