Dear friends,

Above all, we hope that you and your loved ones are doing well in this unprecedented pandemic situation.

For our part, we strongly support the collective fight against Covid-19 while continuing our research activity, to cure and prevent heart rhythm diseases.

In this double objective, the Liryc Institute has been able in recent days:

  • To implement the recommended policies to protect the institute’s staff and allow the continuation of its activity teleworking.
  • To provide to the medical teams of the Bordeaux University Hospital, the relevant equipment to treat patients affected by Covid-19 and to mobilize clinician-researchers.
  • To suggest a protocol to infectiologists and intensive care professionals for the prevention of cardiac risks associated with the admission of trial treatments, as well as the opening of a counter email address for the interpretation of ECGs documents and clinical files of patients within the Bordeaux University Hospital.

For the coming weeks, we will adapt to the evolution of the health situation with the aim of persuing our commitment to the benefit of patients. Our priorities are, thanks to new working methods, to maintain the link with our clinical and research teams, to pursue all the work that can be done and to anticipate the return to the institute for a rapid resumption of our major research on heart rhythm diseases.

Take care of yourself and of your loved ones.
